I find that if I get stuck it is usually in only certain areas of writing at that time eg I might not be able to come up with anything poetic but could still turn out a good article. My advice is if you are "blocked" on writing on a particular subject or in a particular area of writing, to try writing about something else. Sometimes the confidence or success you get from the writing you could do will help unblock your writing on what you were stuck on.
A writer writes and to keep writing is what it's all about I think and not to dwell on something you are having a problem with. Unless you have a pressing deadline, you can return to it again. In the meantime you can write something else and feel good about that!

Great words of advice for sure. I, for one, write a lot of articles as well which does help the creative juices to rejuvenate. Taking a break from writing your genre is a great way to get over the hump.
